Consumer Health Data Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 11, 2026

Washington's My Health My Data Act, along with similar laws in a number of other states, requires any business that collects “consumer health data” to post a policy explaining how it treats that data.

This page exists to state plainly that HearingHires does not collect consumer health data of any kind.

About HearingHires

HearingHires is a hearing care job board, publishing openings and career guides for audiologists, hearing instrument specialists and hearing aid dispensers, audiology assistants, patient care coordinators and the people who manage hearing clinics.

The jobs may be in health care, but HearingHires does not deliver medical care, hearing tests or any health service, offers nothing aimed at patients, and never asks visitors about their health, their hearing or their medical history.

What we publish concerns hearing care careers; it neither gathers nor describes the health of our readers.

HearingHires is not a health care provider, a health plan or a health care clearinghouse, and no patient records or insurance claims data travel through the site.

Health data we do not collect

As the term is defined in Washington's My Health My Data Act and comparable state laws, HearingHires does not collect, use, share or sell consumer health data.

In practice, we hold nothing about:

  • any visitor's health conditions, including hearing loss, or their diagnoses, treatments, medications or devices;
  • health services or procedures, such as hearing tests or fittings, that a visitor looked up or received;
  • biometric or genetic data;
  • precise location data capable of revealing a trip to a clinic or other medical facility;
  • anything inferred about the items above from what you do onHearingHires.

Job seekers in hearing care never make an account with us, and each application is sent directly to the employer behind the post.

Our Privacy Policy explains the small amount of information we do keep, which comes from employers buying listings and from routine server logs.

If this ever changes

Should HearingHires ever begin collecting consumer health data, this policy will be updated beforehand, and any notice and consent the law requires will be in place before collection starts.
