Hiring an Audiologist? Reach audiologists, hearing aid specialists and clinic staff who are looking for their next job.
Post a Job →An audiologist (Doctor of Audiology, AuD) evaluates hearing and balance, diagnoses and manages hearing loss, tinnitus and auditory processing problems, selects, fits and verifies hearing aids, and works with cochlear implant and other device candidates.
Audiologists work in private practices, hearing aid centers, ENT practices, hospitals, the VA and military, schools, universities and manufacturers.
Every state licenses audiologists; most require the four-year AuD degree and the Praxis Audiology exam, though a few still accept an older master's degree.
BLS counts audiologists as one occupation (29-1181). OEWS covers payroll employees only, so self-employed practice owners are not in these figures. Source: BLS OEWS May 2025, SOC 29-1181 Audiologists. BLS pay excludes overtime and the self-employed.
