Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 11, 2026

Here we explain what information HearingHires (hearinghires.com) gathers, what we do with it and what choices you have.

In brief, audiologists, hearing aid specialists and other hearing care job seekers can browse with no account, and anything they submit when applying goes directly to the employer rather than to us.

Apart from the routine server data any website produces, the personal data we hold comes from employers that buy listings.

What we collect

  • Employers buying a listing: whatever is typed into the job form, which covers the name of the practice, hearing center or company, a contact name and email address, and the job itself (title, description, location, pay and application link). The job itself is published; the contact name and email stay private and never appear on a listing.
  • Payments: Stripe operates checkout. Your card details go into Stripe's own form and never reach HearingHires; all we get back is confirmation that the payment went through and the receipt details. To see how Stripe handles data, read Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Job seekers: nothing beyond routine server data. There are no candidate accounts or profiles on HearingHires. Apply takes you to the employer's own application, so your resume, licenses and answers go to that employer and never to us.
  • Server data: as on most websites, our host records basic facts about each request, such as the IP address, browser and page asked for, so that HearingHires stays secure and available.
  • Support emails: we hold on to emails you send us so we can answer them and look back at previous exchanges.

Why we use this information

  • Running and publishing the job posts that employers have paid for.
  • Writing to employers about their posts, such as receipts, notices that a post is expiring, edits they asked for and answers to support questions.
  • Keeping HearingHires running, secure and getting better.
  • Meeting our legal duties, tax record-keeping among them.

We never sell personal information, and we never pass it to third parties so they can market to you.

Analytics and cookies

HearingHires runs no advertising trackers.

We may rely on privacy-minded analytics to see overall patterns like page views and which sites send visitors here. Those figures are reviewed only as totals and are never used to build a profile of any one visitor.

The only cookies we use are the ones the site needs in order to work, such as those Stripe sets at checkout.

Service providers

HearingHires depends on a handful of providers: Stripe handles payments, and others supply hosting and database storage.

They handle data solely to deliver their services to us.

We also expose published posts to search engines like Google Jobs; they receive the public text of a post and never the employer's private contact details.

How long we keep records

Listing and payment records for employers are kept as long as we need them to run the service and to satisfy legal and tax record-keeping rules.

A post that has expired and is no longer shown on HearingHires may still be stored in our database.

Whenever you like, you can ask us to delete your information using the steps set out below.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU/UK GDPR may entitle you to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit some kinds of processing.

Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected] .

After confirming a request is genuine, we reply within whatever time limit the relevant law sets.

Using these rights will never lead to any penalty or unfair treatment from us.

Minors

HearingHires is built for employers and for adults working in hearing care.

It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly gather personal information from people under that age.
