An industrial (occupational) audiologist supervises hearing conservation programs for employers regulated by OSHA, MSHA or the military: reviewing workers' audiograms, confirming standard threshold shifts, advising on noise control and hearing protection, and overseeing the technicians who test workers on site or in mobile vans.
