Hearing Aid Specialist

Job Summary

As a Hearing Aid Specialist, you’ll guide patients through hearing assessments, device selection, fitting, and follow-up care. You’ll combine clinical knowledge with attentive patient service to help people make informed choices and use hearing aids confidently. Your impact: Accurate assessments and well-fitted devices help patients communicate more comfortably in daily life.

Duties

• Conduct patient intake and assessments, including hearing assessments, and document relevant findings.
• Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids using NOAH and other hearing aid fitting software; operate medical equipment safely.
• Explain care options, device use, and follow-up steps through clear client communication and customer service.
• Maintain patient records in electronic medical records/electronic health records (EMR/EHR) and patient management software; use medical software and apply medical terminology and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding as appropriate.
• Support patient management and care across age groups, while following applicable occupational health practices.

Skills

• Required: Patient care and service, patient assessment, hearing aid fitting and programming, and effective client communication.
• Required: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; ability to operate medical equipment and use clinical software.
• Preferred: Experience with NOAH, patient management software, hearing aid fitting software, and ICD coding.
• Sales or customer service experience is helpful for discussing suitable options while keeping patient needs central.

Pay: $51,600.00 - $62,300.00 per year
