Job Summary

Family Hearing Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Care Coordinator. This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.

The Care Coordinator plays an important role in helping patients navigate their hearing care experience and ensuring effective communication among patients, healthcare providers, insurance plans, and our clinic. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, insurance coordination, patient follow-up, hearing aid order coordination, and general administrative support.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
• Verify insurance benefits, coverage, and patient eligibility.
• Assist with insurance authorizations, referrals, and claims processing.
• Follow up with patients regarding appointments, hearing aid orders, fittings, repairs, and other hearing care services.
• Contact patients to remind them about annual hearing evaluations, hearing aid maintenance, and follow-up visits.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Communicate with insurance companies, hearing aid networks, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties.
• Assist with hearing aid orders, returns, repairs, warranty claims, and loss-and-damage (L&D) documentation.
• Answer patient and family questions and help address concerns related to hearing care services.
• Support the clinical and administrative team with daily office operations.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and clinic policies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time for work-related needs as required.
• Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare, customer service, or care coordination role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate professionally with patients, family members, insurance representatives, and healthcare providers.
• Experience with insurance verification, medical billing, or healthcare administration is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn electronic medical records and office management systems.
• Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $31.26 per hour
