Audiology Extern – 4th Year Doctoral Student (Full-Time)

We're now interviewing candidates looking for a full-time, fourth-year AuD externship at our busy audiology clinic. This position may include rotations across more than one of our Jacksonville-area locations, giving you exposure to a variety of patients and settings.

What You'll Do
As an extern, you'll build hands-on clinical experience and develop proficiency in:

• Planning, conducting, and interpreting comprehensive audiological evaluations
• Obtaining thorough and relevant case histories from patients
• Making appropriate treatment recommendations
• Counseling patients and families on diagnostic findings and treatment options
• Recognizing when to refer patients to ENT or other physicians
• Performing cerumen removal
• Taking accurate earmold impressions
• Programming a wide range of hearing devices
• Adjusting and repairing hearing devices
• Handling documentation, billing, patient correspondence, team meetings, and other duties as assigned
