Audiologist For Veteran Disability Exams

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Independent 1099-Contract Basis)

KAVN Health is seeking a dedicated and licensed Audiologist to join our team in conducting disability exams for veterans. This is a non-treatment, non-prescribing role focused on providing high-quality assessments that help veterans receive their VA benefits in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive audiological evaluations as part of the Veterans Affairs (VA) disability determination process.
• Review the Veteran’s medical history, including abstracts highlighting relevant claims information (when available).
• Accurately document findings and submit electronic medical records within 24 hours of the exam.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate veterans’ appointments.
• Adhere to VA standards and KAVN Health protocols for quality and timeliness.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) or the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE).
• Active state license as an Audiologist (required).
• Prior experience with VA disability or compensation exams is a plus but not required.
• Strong assessment skills; prior assessment experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
